Intelligent hydrogels with applications in wound healing and infection prophylaxis – acronym GELINT

Created in: 2021-03-17 Share:

Within the project, an intelligent nanocomposite material will be made. It will combine the antibacterial properties of nanostructured zinc oxide, with its high water vapor permeability and ability to create a humid and cold environment of polymeric hydrogels, and with the anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and antioxidant properties of plant extracts.

The incorporation of nanostructured zinc oxide will improve both the antibacterial properties of hydrogels and their mechanical properties.
