On 2024, April 11^th, at the “Dimitrie Brândză” Botanical Garden, the University of Bucharest, through SciResCareer – Research Career Guidance and Counseling Center – Bucharest-Ilfov Region, organized a training course in the field of industrial property entitled “From idea to patent: Guide to the patenting process“, attended by members of the academic community.

Among the topics covered in the training session is: an introduction to the world of industrial property protection and how they coexist and interact, the key stages in the evolution from an idea to obtaining an official patent, legal aspects and case studies related to obtaining and managing patents. Essential criteria for patentability, including novelty, inventiveness and industrial applicability, but also post-grant strategies and responsibilities, including the maintenance, exploitation and defense of patent rights, were also explored. An overview of the patent situation at the national level was presented. The course ended with an interactive workshop aimed at the practical analysis of an Invention Patent Application.
