The Scientific Committee and the Organizing Committee invite you to participate in the 8th EmergeMAT Conference on 06–07 October 2025. The event is organised in collaboration with the European Technology Platform on Sustainable Mineral Resources and with the help of the sponsors NANOTEAM SRL and ALTIUM.

The 8th edition of the EmergeMAT Conference will be organized in a hybrid format and will bring together students, scientists, engineers, industry representatives, and other participants interested in developing new methods, concepts, and materials using new and emerging technologies such as: additive manufacturing, high temperature/pressure processes, and substitution of critical materials, with applications in energy, environmental protection, and regenerative medicine.

Contest awards – Young Researchers

Sections

1. MATERIALS FOR ENERGY

Materials for metal-ion batteries: advanced materials for metal-ion batteries, electrochemical methods, and new characterization methods;
Materials for solid electrolyte fuel cells, synthesis, sintering, and characterization methods;
New piezoelectric and thermoelectric materials for energy harvesting;
New materials for energy capture and storage.

2. CRITICAL MATERIALS

New materials and processes for the sustainable embedding of critical raw materials for extreme conditions;
Multicomponent high-entropy materials (high-entropy alloys, high-entropy ceramics);
Additive manufacturing of new metallic, ceramic, composite, and hybrid materials for energy, biomedical, and aerospace applications;
Metallic, ceramic, and composite coatings with controlled properties;
Circularity of advanced materials, new processes for their reuse and redesign.

3. NEW MATERIALS FOR ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

Materials for the treatment of industrial wastewater;
Materials for CO₂ absorption;
New materials for sensors and advanced detection.

4. MODELING AND SIMULATION OF MATERIALS

Multiscale modeling of advanced materials;
Process modeling.
