The Scientific Committee and the Organizing Committee organized online the 5th EmergeMAT Conference, took place in Bucharest Romania, between October 27th – 28th 2022.
The 5th virtual EmergeMAT Conference focused on bringing scientists, engineers, industry representatives and other stakeholders interested in developing new methods, concepts and materials using new and emerging technologies, such as: additive manufacturing, high pressure/high temperature processes and substitution of critical materials for energy, environmental protection and regenerative medicine.
Attended by 126 participants, representing 55 organizations from 12 countries. 105 scientific papers were submitted to the conference proceedings..
Key Topics: materials for additive manufacturing, medical applications, energy applications, automotive & aerospace applications, dual applications, safe and sustainable-by-design metallic materials and coatings, materials (metals, alloys, ceramics, hybrids, composites), critical materials (metals, CRM replacements), thermal properties, etc.
The conference was organized as a virtual ZOOM event. The working language was English. Participation was free change.
Abstracts were published in the conference Book of Abstracts (ISSN 2602-0416) and full papers were able to be published, following a peer review process, in Frontiers in Materials, Materials for Energy – Special issue, impact factor 3.515 and Manufacturing Review (eISSN 2265-4224), (eISSN: 2265-4224) is indexed in Scopus, Chemical Abstract, CrossRef, DOAJ.
